"The Maintenance Man" is a mentally handicapped employee of a bovine slaughter house in Alabama. 

He spends most of his time in the factory's basement as he is afraid of direct sunlight.  What he calls, "The evil glowing orb in the sky".

  We are not sure why he wears a ski mask...

 

 

It would appear The Maintenance Man has been busy.  He even went outside though it appears a little cloudy. 

I would like to think the ski mask gave him the inner strength to face "The evil glowing orb in the sky."
